🧡 HCAR Cares Surpasses 500 Thanksgiving Baskets for Local Families

HCAR Cares is proud to share that we surpassed 500 Thanksgiving baskets during our 12th Annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive—making this year’s effort our largest and most impactful collection to date.

Each year, our goal is to exceed the number of baskets we provided previously, and thanks to the incredible generosity of our members, volunteers, affiliate partners, and community supporters, we did just that.

A Community Effort Led by Generosity

Earlier this month, HCAR members gathered for our annual Wrapping Party on Monday, November 17, where volunteers worked side by side to wrap, assemble, and prepare each basket with care. The energy in the room reflected everything HCAR Cares stands for—teamwork, gratitude, and giving back.

Because of this outstanding collective effort, HCAR contributed more than 500 complete Thanksgiving meal baskets to families across Howard County.

Partnering with Neighbor Network

HCAR Cares is honored to partner each year with Neighbor Network, the nonprofit organization that leads this county-wide Thanksgiving Basket initiative.

With the combined efforts of Neighbor Network, HCAR Cares, and other participating community groups, a total of more than 850 families received Thanksgiving baskets this year. This shared accomplishment highlights the power of collaboration and the impact our organizations create when we work together.

  …along with countless members, affiliates, and supporters who donated baskets, food items, gift cards, and volunteer hours.

While surpassing 500 baskets is a remarkable achievement for HCAR, the true impact lies in the number of families who were able to enjoy a warm and meaningful Thanksgiving meal.
Because of our community’s compassion and Neighbor Network’s leadership, over 850 families county-wide experienced comfort, nourishment, and hope this holiday season.
