Our Mission and Vision
Mission/Vision Statement:
HCAR CARES, a 501(c)3 organization, founded by the Howard County Association of REALTORS® (HCAR), is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for members of our community and beyond by strategically partnering with the organizations that address the community’s needs.
HCAR Cares is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving quality of life for members of our community in Howard County, Maryland and beyond. In addition to community service projects, HCAR Cares fundraises and awards grants to organizations and groups who address food, shelter, health, safety, and cultural needs, among others.
HCAR Cares was born from the efforts of the Howard County Association of REALTORS® Community Outreach Committee, which was a collaborative effort of dues-paying HCAR members charged with serving the Howard County community in the name of the REALTOR® brand. The desire to expend the reach of these efforts led to the founding of HCAR Cares, which was duly incorporated under the laws of the State of Maryland on September 13, 2019. HCAR Cares sought Federal exempt status and ultimately was determined to be exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
